Daewon CTS is positioning itself as an AI enterprise company, responding to the rapid growth of the Korean AI market.
(May 16, 2024) Daewon CTS (CEOs Ha Seong-won, Lee Sang-ho, and Kim Bo-kyung), the largest IT infrastructure provider in Korea, announced on the 16th that it has signed a distribution agreement with VAST Data, an AI data platform company.

Vast Data, a global enterprise AI software company, is accelerating its expansion into the Korean AI market. Through this distribution agreement, Daewon CTS and Vast Data have established a foundation for accelerating their entry into Korea's AI market, one of the fastest-growing in the world.
The Vast Data Platform is a core component of the AI infrastructure provided by Daewon CTS. Beyond generative AI and large-scale language models (LLMs), the Vast Data Platform accelerates and implements AI-assisted discovery, encompassing data collection, refinement, learning, and inference, all on a single platform. Furthermore, it is expected to be available not only as the first enterprise NAS product certified for NVIDIA Superpod, but also as HPE GreenLake for file storage.
By signing a distribution agreement with Daewon CTS, Bast can expect synergy effects not only with Daewon CTS's AI infrastructure of KAYTUS and SuperMicro, but also with DeepX, which supports on-device AI and recently signed a distribution partnership.
Daewon CTS plans to use this distribution agreement as a new turning point to transform its corporate image, previously limited to IT distribution channels, into an enterprise AI company.
“The expansion of this new distribution agreement, which comes three years after establishing a branch in Korea, is very significant,” said Taehoon Kim, Managing Director of Bast Data Korea. “As the fastest-growing AI data platform company, we will be able to showcase our innovative AI data infrastructure in the Korean market.”
Daewon CTS CEO Ha Seong-won said, “The expansion of our partnership with Bust Data to a distributor is proof of their recognition of Daewon CTS’s technological prowess,” adding, “Based on a workforce comprised of veterans in the storage and AI industries, we will be able to expand our enterprise AI business more actively.”
